A day-long CPD training session in our DOT Box 'Inclusive Salt & Pepper'.
It is normal to be different. By using Cambridge simulation gloves & glasses, students are able to become empathetic engineers, stepping into someone else's shoes, in this case with a visual impairment and lowered dexterity. Students must generate inclusive design solutions to allow food to be seasoned, regardless of ability. Stakeholder requirements are juggled and solutions prototyped. Students learn key skills in problem-solving and resilience through the iterative design process, pioneered at the Engineering Design Centre, Cambridge.
